The Saadani National Park is a new and different experience! Spread across more than 1100 square miles, you will find the beach and the natural habitat of some of the most exciting wildlife.
The area boasts different terrains starting from the east coast, and builds up to the African safari plains. Within the area, there are forests, lagoons, coral reefs, and sandy beaches. The coastal boundary area makes one of the most perfect honeymoon spots you’ll ever see. The national park gives you the chance to see many terrains within once space.
You will also see many animals on your safari: walk next to a family of giraffes, primates, and elephants. It's all exquisite. In the rivers, you will see the hippos and crocodiles. You will see dolphins, green turtles, and humpback whales in the ocean. Since the place is surrounded by mangroves, the weather is hot and humid at all times. There is a diverse population of animals within the park and soon they plan to introduce other animals, such and rhinos, and impalas.
The hotel at the Saadani National Park needs special mention. Many of the honeymooners have been enchanted by the hotel and the unique opportunity to sleep outside or on the beach!
Things to do: boating, game drives, Wami river canoeing, bush walks, village visits, Indian Ocean swimming, and snorkelling.
The best time to visit is from June to September. You can choose to stay with options according to your budget: the river lodge, safari lodge, or a tent right on the beach.
