Sao Paulo's most recent hotel is a new definition of luxury. The Palácio Tangará is a five-star hotel that offers exclusive accommodations to its guests like no other in Brazil. This new "oasis retreat" opened its door last May and is located in the Burle Marx Park, a 27-acre stretch of dense Atlantic rainforest 10 miles southwest of the center of São Paulo. This provides an effective escape from city noise.
The hotel was introduced by the Oekter Collection. The design is the work of architect Patricia Anastassiadis and interior designer Bick Simonato. They have brought together European hospitality and style and Brazilian Art to create a vivid representation.
The hotel offers 82 guestrooms and 59 suites, ready to host the most demanding and exclusive patron. Each room includes a private balcony where guests have a stunning view of the city and park. There is also, a 3,000-square foot Royal Suite with a panoramic terrace, making it perfect for those intimate cocktails.
Visitors have access to outdoor and indoor swimming pools and a six-treatment-room spa by “Spa by Sisley”. Guests can also enjoy a dinner created by the hotel´s world-renowned chef, Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
Patricia Anastassiadis did not complete the interior designs herself but was accompanied by Bick Simonato. Together they have created an exclusive atmosphere that brings a Brazilian contemporary elegance to spacious rooms and suites. Magnificent ballrooms combine with an exceptional culinary experience, led by chef Vongerichten.
Oekster Group, who has other impressive constructions all around Brazil, seems to be committed to quality and the best visitor experience. In the words of front office manager Camila Tenório, "the high expectations of our guests are the benchmark of our service".
